About Us

Services offered

Our goal is to help each child reach their potential through assessment and therapy services. Assessments diagnose conditions such as Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, trauma, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, anxiety, and depression in children age 16 and younger.  A comprehensive psychological report is provided with each assessment at no additional charge. Several major insurance plans are accepted. We also offer individual therapy for children and adolescents related to trauma, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Specialized tutoring services for dyslexia using Orton Gillingham and Wilson Reading programs are also offered. Since we are an alliance of providers, you schedule directly with each provider you want to see. Separate scheduling information is provided below. 

Angela Hilton-Prillhart, Ph.D., hsp, NCSP, Licensed Psychologist

Angela Hilton-Prillhart, Ph.D., NCSP is a Licensed Psychologist and National Certified School Psychologist. She received her Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and specializes in psychological assessment for children and adolescents. She has presented at conferences including the American Psychological Association, the National Association of School Psychologists, and the International Literacy Association. She has also published peer-reviewed articles in journals including Gifted Child Quarterly, Psychology in the Schools, and the Journal of Evidence-Based Practices for Schools. 


Dr. Hilton-Prillhart's mission is to promote the growth and development of each child she sees by providing quality assessments, recommendations, and follow-up referrals. She wants each child to feel valued and for others working with the child to see the child's strengths and full potential. 


To schedule an assessment appointment with Dr. Hilton-Prillhart, please schedule online below.  Dr. Hilton-Prillhart accepts the following insurance plans: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care, Cigna, Aetna. If a patient is self-pay, please type self-pay in the Insurance field when scheduling below. The self-pay rate is $800. Dr. Hilton-Prillhart does not see patients over the age of 16 at the time of the appointment. We reserve the right to cancel an appointment for anyone older than 16.


Testing Overview: 

As part of full psychological assessment, there are three appointments with Dr. Hilton-Prillhart. 

  • First Appointment: The first appointment is an intake appointment where Dr. Hilton-Prillhart learns about your child's history and gathers information to create an assessment plan.
  • Second Appointment: The second appointment is the testing appointment. This appointment lasts between 2-3 hours. 
  • Third Appointment: The third appointment is a results meeting. The results from testing will be shared along with any new diagnoses and treatment recommendations.

JACKIE LANEY, M.Ed., Ed.S.

Dyslexia Specialist and Educator


 

Jackie Laney is a provider who works with Dr. Hilton-Prillhart's office and offers online reading therapy. With over 15 years of dedicated teaching experience, she is a passionate and skilled educator specializing in dyslexia and other learning differences. She holds an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S.) from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she also served as an adjunct professor, sharing her expertise with future educators.


Jackie is an Orton-Gillingham Associate Level provider. The Orton-Gillingham approach is a research-based, structured literacy program designed to support students with dyslexia. Her deep understanding of dyslexia, combined with her extensive training, allows her to create individualized, effective strategies to help students thrive academically.


Throughout her career, Jackie has worked with students of all ages, from elementary through post-secondary, providing personalized instruction that builds confidence and unlocks potential. She is committed to fostering a positive, supportive learning environment where every student feels understood, valued, and empowered to succeed.


Whether working one-on-one or in small groups, Jackie uses a compassionate, hands-on approach to make learning accessible and enjoyable for students facing the challenges of dyslexia. Her dedication to her students' success has earned her a reputation as a trusted and compassionate advocate for those with learning differences.
